NESTING CHICKS IN RADIO CONTROLLED BOAT DRAMA!

My thanks to both the Herts Advertiser and Alex Lewis at The Review for publishing my images of a Coot with chicks being harrassed by a family playing with their remote controlled boat a Verulam Park. This is one such image, the other two are similar. Thanks also to Alex for taking the matter further by bringing it to the attention of St. Albans District Council who, asfaras I am aware, having promised to erect signs asking people not to disturb nesting birds - did absolutely nothing!

Again I was fortunate enough to have two images published in The St. Albans & Harpenden Review newpaper. It was so unusual to have so much snow in February that I couldn't resist going to Verulam Park to try and capture some of the action. This image appeared at the top of the front cover 4/2/09/

May 2007 - Digital SLR User Magazine - For the first time ever, I entered a competition. The competition was in two parts, the first part involved submitting three images of patterns in nature. Here is one of the three images that enabled me to go through to the second stage. This image is called Erosion.

May 2007 - Digital SLR User Magazine, this is the third of the images submitted. Petals
Having taken part in Part 2 of the competition, I'm delighted to be able to report that I have won the most amazing 12 day African Safari to be hosted by Chris Weston. Watch this space....... further details to follow.

I was of course hoping to be able to tell you all about my amazing travels to South Africa with Chris - Unfortunately prior to trip I was quite ill and advised by my Consultant not to undertake any travel.

As you can well imagine I was absolutely devastated. All the people involved, i.e., Digital SLR User Magazine, Chris Weston and Pentax were all absolutely wonderful however so as not to waste this wonderful trip one of the runners up in the competition took my place.
The good news is that I am now completely recovered and it is my intention to visit my beloved Africa next year.
