Welcome to the Phase II gallery. If you didn't have to chance to visit when it first opened in 2009, now is your chance to visit Phase II. If you did visit, you know how amazing it was. Well - this year promises to be even better.

However before opening, a little work needs to be carried out on the individual gardens and around the site in general.

In January, emails found their way into inboxes asking for volunteers to help out with gardening on Wednesdays. Unfortunately due to the extreme weather in January, work , had to be postponed to February. So.......on one freezing cold grey day in February some hardy souls turned up to help out. Luckily the rain held off and steaming hot coffee/tea and the yummiest of cakes were all provided.

Over the next few weeks, an additional few Saturdays were added (and will continue to be, also Thursdays). Despite the cold, these hardy uncomplaining groups of volunteers have been turning up, getting stuck in carrying out weeding/pruning - oh and also mulching! The mulch arrives with an extremely pungent aroma and it's not Channel No. 5!

Did the earth move ? Yes - there is much earth moving. This is being carried out with heavy earth moving equipment/machinery. Therefore it is a requirement that anyone on site wears hard hats and high vis jackets for health and safety reasons. The workwear is courtesy of BREHNEY. Garden tools have been provided by BULLDOG and are getting well used and hopefully not buried! Excellent company and laughter has been provided by everyone!
